What equipment do i need?

You will need to purchase a GrandStream IP Phone ($85), OR an ATA Internet adapter box ($99) plus shipping.

What is the GrandStream IP Phone?

The GrandStream-BudgeTone 102 is an IP Telephone is available to calleveryone.com customers for $85 plus shipping. It has two jacks on the back - one for a PC connection and the other for the LAN connection. This is very good for a small office, as you will not need to purchase a hub/switch.

What does ATA stand for and how does it work?

Analog Telephone Adapter. This device converts your analog phone signal to digital so that it can be sent over your broadband connection, and into the calleveryone.com phone network. Calleveryone.com has selected the Cisco ATA 186 because of its exceptional quality and reliability. It is delivered to all of our customers pre-configured. Each one has been tested to work flawlessly with your calleveryone.com phone service.

Can a ATA 186 be hooked up to a wireless bridge?

Yes. But our devices are not wireless.

Is it hard to setup?

It takes most of our customers longer to open the shipping box than it does to set up their new ATA or IP Phone. It's a snap. Just plug in the power supply, plug in your phone, and connect it to your broadband line. In 60 seconds your part is done, and the ATA does the rest of the work automatically. You'll literally hear a dial tone and be ready to make calls in minutes.

How is the quality of the equipment?

Calleveryone.com ships you nothing less than the best equipment on the market. Each ATA is tested prior to leaving our facilities, and your phone number is already stored on your device before it's shipped. This means that your setup is easy and your calls will be of the highest quality.

Do I need any additional equipment?

Once you plug in your ATA, the only things you'll sacrifice are expensive and confusing phone bills. Unlike many other Voice Over IP offerings, you don't need headphones or your computer. Just use your standard touch-tone phone, talk as much as you want and rack up the savings.

Will I need a router?

You will need a router if you are using more than one computer over broadband, or if you have a computer plus calleveryone.com service. You may already have a router supplied with your broadband service.

Does my computer need to be on to get phone calls?

No, VoIP works independent of the computer. You will need a router and we recommend DLink, LinkSys or NetGear.

How should my USB modem (DSL & Cable) be hooked up?

If you use a USB based modem for your DSL or Cable broadband access you will need to have additional equipment to use the Calleveryone.com service. You will need an Ethernet card in your PC (most PC's already have this installed) and a router to connect your Calleveryone.com phone, PC and modem to.

Can I take it on the road?

Your ATA makes a great travel companion. It's dimensions are similar to a portable CD player, so it's easy to carry. You can use it anywhere in the world where you have a high speed internet connection. Bring it anywhere overseas and you won't pay international dialing rates when you call back home. The same is true when you travel to other area codes in the U.S., and the travel option works for both business and residential calleveryone.com accounts.

How about a travel benefit scenerio?

So let's say that you live in Chicago and bring your ATA on a trip to Hong Kong. With calleveryone.com you can call your next door neighbor from Hong Kong and it's priced like a local domestic call. This is also true when your neighbor calls you. Your ATA ensures that your area code and phone number travel with you. So it's very convenient for people dialing you, and it's extra easy on your wallet too.

Can you connect multiple phones to the ATA box?

Yes, but like normal phone service only one person can use one account at any one time.

How do I get technical support for my service?

Tech support is available online in our Support area, or you can call our toll free number 1-888-658-6640 and ask for support.

How will the service affect speed of my Internet connection?

Calleveryone.com only uses 80KB per call. The typical cable service is 400KB.

How will I be billed?

Calleveryone.com will send out an invoice every month. You will be billed a monthly fee of $7 in advance, and the bill will include the previous month's charges. You will be charged at sign up for the ATA box. There is NO account activation fee and you will have a 30 day money back guarentee.

Will I keep my existing phone number?

Calleveryone.com helps save you money on your long distance calling. It should not replace your landline phone, which is necessary for emergency purposes.
